Job Description
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deal with representatives of national and international print and broadcast media. The post's responsibilities include press, internal communications, Internet/Intranet, brand, events and publications and sponsorships.

• Assist C&EA Director in developing and delivering the BU C&EA Performance
• Assist C&EA Director in developing and delivering the BU C&EA Performance Contract and the Country Reputation Plan.
• Speak competently for the BU on routine matters and, especially, on crises.
• Monitor the media for issues which might affect company’s reputation and advice on what action should be taken about them.
• Advise other functions/segments on their communications activities. Help choose appropriate spokespersons.
• Develop, manage and implement an annual plan for the BU media strategy and gain necessary approvals for it.
• Liaise between BU leadership and C&EA staff on communications work. Develop a calendar of activities. Gain necessary approvals.
• Understand the BU's commercial and social activities and how they relate to business segments.
• Support and help organize executive and government visits effectively, with proper attention to protocol.
• Support communications activities on behalf of JVs in the country.
• Build a strong, up-to-date network of media contacts.
• Ensure sound planning for emergency responses. Lead regular practice exercises with the Business Support and Incident Management Teams.
• Monitor issues about company in the media. Act as local Press Officer, maintaining an effective internal network. Authorize any press releases issued in the country with support from the Press Office in Singapore and/ or London.
• Advise on internal communications strategy and implementation.
• Act as project manager and internal advocate for the BU website,
• Oversee all external publications, promotional materials, and promotional events. Ensure adherence to brand standards.
• Lead on managing events
• Lead on company’s sponsorship activities
• Lead on developing appropriate promotional gifts
• Support and lead, where necessary, on staff engagement activities in HCMC and Hanoi.
Job Requirements
Years of experience:  10 year(s) 
Minimum career level:  Manager 
Minimum education level:  Bachelors 

Requirements:

* Education:
- Minimum 10 years of working Experience with minimum 5 years in related roles with Multi-National Corporations, private sector, governmental or multi-lateral
- BA/BS degree/ MBA or Master Degree ( Desirable)
- Relevant Communications and/or marketing courses. Public Relations or media qualifications (Desirable)


* Competency: 

- A logical objective and analytical approach
- Established network with media and public relations companies
- Proven commitment to delivery against tight deadlines
- Confidence in dealing with senior staff, media and the public as they ll as a proven track record in working as a team member
- Thorough understanding of political, economic and social issues in Vietnam
- Convey information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale
- Consistently able to meet tight deadlines openly faces increasingly difficult situation with confidence and always adopts a “can do” attitude. “Can do” attitude.

* Language & skills:

- Excellent bilingual language both Vietnamese and English
- Computer : Good at Word, Excel, PowerPoint
