• Provide leadership of regional QA teams to ensure consistent adherence to company QA strategic direction. 
• Introduce, support and implement new initiatives that align with continuous improvement direction.
• Work in close collaboration with all internal regional and corporate departments and external suppliers.
• Assist in building internal resources to support our Factory and Fabric Mill Quality Systems Evaluation program. 
• Assist in the implementation of a Columbia Sportswear Certification Program, an extensive quality systems based audit to build supply chain excellence. 
• Provide training and leadership to move to a balanced continuous improvement QA/QC model and away from a QC model of excessive inspection.. 
• Promote change to evolve into an efficient, Best-in-Class Quality organization.
• Manage regional staffing, training and performance assessment of Quality Assurance teams.

Minimum education level:  Bachelors 

• University degree strongly preferred. Appropriate experience required to be considered.
• Prefer a minimum of 10 years experience in apparel quality assurance or related manufacturing positions, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. 
• Apparel industry QA experience is preferred; will consider strong background/education in Quality Systems and principles. 
• Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Six Sigma experience a distinct advantage. 
• Fluent written and spoken English required; strong presentation skills necessary
