Job Description
As Operations Manager, the jobholder will report to CFO and cover the following duties & responsibilities:

The Operations Manager will lead a team of 20+ operation officers based in both Hanoi and HCMC, including Retail Client Services and back office operations for the firms’ listed, OTC, and IPO trading activities. Activities of the overall department include account management, order receiving and processing, settlement and clearance, share transfer, corporate actions, and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise on operational aspects of trade execution and post-trade processing, advising senior management on related matters in the context of new business structures where necessary
• Develop, document and implement processes and procedures for the department. Put in place robust controls and risk management measures to ensure compliance with relevant local and international regulations.
• Oversee the implementation / upgrades of IT systems for trading and clearing & settlement
• Hiring and training the Securities Services team
• Managing the day to day operations of the department, and
• Liaising with other business areas as well as third party on matters relating to operations
Job Requirements
Years of experience:  8 year(s) 
Minimum career level:  Manager 
Minimum education level:  Bachelors 

Our Client is looking for high qualified candidates with the following skills & experiences:

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

1. Fluent in English and Vietnamese – strong oral and written presentation skills in both languages
2. Overseas Bachelor’s and/or MBA degree a plus

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. 8+ years’ work experience
2. 3+ years operations experience in senior positions at securities firms, investment funds, securities services or custodian groups of commercial banks


SKILLS:

1. Previous experience leading and managing teams
2. Strong securities business background – in depth knowledge of Vietnamese Securities regulations and practices
3. Ability to travel frequently between Hanoi and HCMC depending on business needs
4. Experience of implementing IT systems, including trading / clearing & settlement systems 
5. Knowledge of Accounting 
6. Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English and Vietnamese)
7. Attention to detail and ability to multitask
8. Ability to learn quickly
